Vanilla Ice Cream with Blood Orange Olive Oil

We had a gentleman come in the store a few month back. He had just gotten  back from Spain and he got to experience how extra virgin olive oil was made. At the end of the day they received a nice homemade meal and for dessert they were served ice cream with and fused orange olive oil. He told me it was out of this world. Me? I had reservations. Olive Oil on ice cream? Hmmmm, I wasn't sure about this but we did have Vanilla Ice Cream in our shop. So, i pulled it out and made him try it with me. WOW, it was delicious! It reminded me of a creamsicle when I was a kid.

My mother in-law loves ice cream but was told she was diabetic. And the sugar free ice cream wasn't satisfying her. So I added the Blood Orange Olive Oil to it. And she loved it.

  • Ice Cream (Vanilla or Chocolate)
  • Blood Orange Olive Oil


Put a scoop of ice cream in a bowl and drizzle the blood orange olive oil on top. enjoy
